Bio: Lili Corbus retired as an emerita associate professor of art history University of North Carolina, Charlotte, in 2006. Her areas of specialization include the history of photography, modernism, and women in art. She has been widely published, including her book on the decline of social documentary ideals, Photography and Politics in America: From the New Deal into the Cold War (Johns Hopkins University Press, 1999).
