Tad Nichols
Bio: As a photographer with a background in geology and anthropology, Tad Nichols (1911-2000) participated in scientific expeditions that led him from Mexico's ParÃcutin Volcano to the sand dunes of Africa. A student of Ansel Adams and Brett Weston, he combined artistry with scientific observation along a lifetime of adventure. His photographic work has been published in many books, scientific journals, and magazines.
